One of my favorite TV broadcasting company is Television Tokyo, TV Tokyo. In addition to 6 nation wide broadcasting channels that people would normally watch, TV Tokyo is counted as the 7th big channel (though it (only) broadcasts their program mainly in Tokyo). With limited budgets which is way less amount than the other 6 nation wide channels, TV Tokyo shows their presence with its unique programs.
I like many of them, especially those that introduces various things on Japan and Japanese products. The company is also strong with economic related issues, by being affiliated with Nikkei Shimbun (an economic newspaper, "Japan Economic Newspaper"). Their programs related to economics, for example programs that introduces Japanese companies' activities or learn about the philosophy of business persons), are interesting and unique.
TV Tokyo also shows international aspects. It created a program in which a Ramen (noodle) shop owner would go around places in the world (1st in South America and 2nd in Africa), by making Ramen and earning necessary money to continue the trip by selling Ramens. Its another program in which interviews at Narita International Airport to those who are from foreign countries. This program make Japanese realize how many people visit Japan with various purposes.
